About Libros
At Libros New Mexico Book Arts Guild, we ignite passion and foster growth in the book arts community by providing a space where creativity meets tradition. Our guild, founded in 2001 and based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, offers the chance to learn the intricate craft of bookmaking while pushing the boundaries in paper arts.
We’re a diverse group of enthusiasts, from creative hobbyists and beginner book makers to advanced crafters. We welcome all skill levels. At Libros you will find skills, knowledge, and the inspiration for your next project. Our seasoned members share their expertise generously, making complex techniques accessible and enjoyable. You will come away from our hands-on learning meetings with new abilities and tangible creations that are all yours!
We sponsor the Bookbinding Division contest at the New Mexico State Fair and annual shows at libraries. We welcome new members and guests; please see the Calendar page for upcoming meetings. We meet the first Saturday of each month, 9 am to 12 noon.
